Jonathan Absher

Jonathan was born and raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. He was introduced to rivers and mountains at an early age, and has shaped his life around them ever since. Jonathan studied mathematics and education at UNC-Asheville as part of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program. He has been leading outdoor education trips, raft guiding, and working in the ski industry in California and Colorado since 2013. Jonathan is excited to combine his passion for the outdoors with his passion for teaching at Alzar School.
