Jake Miczulski

Outdoor Program Coordinator

A native Idahoan, Jake is passionate about the people and places that make Idaho such a unique place to live. Ever since his younger days of bad haircuts and high-mileage minivans, Jake has been roaming this state high and low, appreciating the many faces of Idaho. His favorite place to share with people is the Middle Fork Salmon River, where he worked as a guide for six years, leading multi-day, interpretive wilderness expeditions. In 2015, Jake earned his Bachelor’s in Fire Ecology and Management at the University of Idaho, gaining academic and practical knowledge on the unique role that fire plays in Western ecosystems. In 2018, Jake furthered his knowledge of Western ecosystems, while also honing his teaching skills, by earning his Master’s in Natural Resources from the McCall Outdoor Science School. Jake can’t wait to share his passions for ecosystems and “river-ing” with the rad kids at the Alzar School. You can reach Jake at jmiczulski@alzarschool.org.
