Opportunities to experience the power of Alzar School.
Alzar School is the ultimate outdoor classroom. In addition to the semester program, we offer special opportunities for students to participate in an Alzar School experience. These special programs are offered every summer.
roam summer course
The Roam Summer Course is a 16-day program for rising 9th and 10th grade students. During this summer adventure, students backpack in the central Idaho mountains and raft/inflatable kayak on the Salmon River. This course also includes a visit to a Nez Perce community near Lewiston, Idaho. Students may earn academic credit for completing this course.
camp cup
The largest youth paddling event in the country, the Camp Cup is a two-day, non-competitive event for young paddlers who attend participating summer camps in western North Carolina. This event is designed to help teens network with other paddlers and learn about new aspects of the sport.
